History

This two-and-a-half-story house with a gable roof is a vernacular Victorian-style house. The architectural detail in the building is kept to a minimum. The cornerboards, bay window, and front entrance are clearly inspired by the varied styles popular during the late nineteenth century.

The stickwork in the entrance porch is reminiscent of the Stick Style, and the brackets ornamenting the bay window, as well as the front entrance, are derived from earlier Italianate styles.

The original owner of this house has not yet been documented. It could possibly have been Charles Genn. He sold the property to Arthur Waycott, who conveyed the property to Jennie E. Day in 1916.
